If you’re looking for a fun space adventure with a diverse cast and thoughtful prose, the Nyxia Triad is it. Part of me wishes I could go back and read it all over from the beginning, not knowing what’s coming, and the best way I can do that is to recommend it to everyone I know. Nyxia Uprising especially contains the right balance of character, action, grit, heart, and heartbreak that begs to be experienced. ![]() Since this is the final book, I’m not going to be offering a synopsis since it will spoil the others, and I want people to go into this trilogy with fresh, eager eyes like I did. I didn’t think that was going to be possible, but Reintgen did it! Like the others, Nyxia Uprising does not disappoint, and in fact it might rival the first book as being my favorite. No, it’s over! Why? Reading this graphic novel reminded me of the uncertainties of growing up and becoming an adult. Every time she tries to help someone out or fix a situation for the better, it just ends up spinning out of control. Penny has got to be one of the unluckiest protagonists I’ve read. But when she meets Walter, Penny’s luck might just change for the better. She’s incredibly unlucky and working hard to get her life back on track all while dodging life’s obstacles. ![]() Lucky Penny is a new adult romance graphic novel that follows a young woman named Penny who loses her job, loses her apartment, and ends up living in a storage unit. Surely Penny is capable of becoming an actual responsible adult, and if she can do that her luck’s bound to change! Right? And there’s bound to be career opportunities at the neighborhood laundromat- just look how fast that 12-year-old who runs the place made it to management! Plus, there’s this sweet guy at the community center, and maybe Penny can even have a conversation with him without being a total dork. But it’s okay, her friend has a cozy storage unit she can crash in. If Penny Brighton didn’t have bad luck, she’d have no luck at all.
